Date Calculator
Count days between two dates, or add and subtract days from any date. Shows days, weeks, months, years, and business days.
Date Calculator β Two Tools in One
This date calculator has two modes. Days Between Dates counts the exact number of days, weeks, months, and years between any two dates, and also shows business days (weekdays only). Add or Subtract Days takes a start date and adds or removes a number of days to find the resulting date β useful for deadlines, due dates, and scheduling. Both modes update instantly as you type.
Days Between Dates β How It Works
The calculator subtracts the start date from the end date and returns the absolute number of days. It also calculates: total complete weeks and remaining days, total months (approximate), total years (approximate), and business days β which counts only Monday through Friday, excluding Saturday and Sunday. For example, from January 1 to March 31 is 89 calendar days but only 63 business days.
Adding and Subtracting Days from a Date
To find a date a certain number of days in the future or past, enter the start date and the number of days. Common uses: 30 days from today (payment deadlines, return windows), 90 days from a date (visa validity, warranties), 180 days or 365 days (half-year and anniversary calculations). The result shows the exact date and the day of the week it falls on.
Business Days vs Calendar Days
Calendar days count every day including weekends. Business days (also called working days) count only Monday through Friday. When a contract says "30 business days", that is 6 weeks of weekdays β approximately 42 calendar days. When a bank says "3-5 business days", that means 3-7 calendar days depending on which day the clock starts. Use the business days result in the Days Between Dates tab for these calculations.
Common Date Calculation Uses
Deadlines: add 30/60/90 days to a contract start date. Age milestones: how many days until a birthday or anniversary. Loan terms: find the exact date 180 days from a start date. Project planning: count working days between milestones. Travel: how many days between departure and return. Pregnancy: 280 days from the last menstrual period gives the estimated due date.
